[Inter BEE 2016 TV] Grass Valley Began to Provide "EDIUS 8 Version 8.3" for Free and Announced the Usage of "HDWS" and "REXCEED" for Sony's Reporting Media Backbone

On November 16th, Grass Valley released "EDIUS 8 Version 8.3" and began to provide an updater free of charge. The latest features were developed in the headquarters of Kobe mainly based on requests from users in Japan. At the Inter BEE 2016 booth, the latest work flow and usage methods of "EDIUS" were introduced to related creators and manufacturers.
The main new features are as follows.
・High-quality slow motion feature through optical flow technology
・A new time code display mode was added to the bin
・Feature to author DVD and Blu-ray for various project settings
・Addition of a size setting option for proxy files
・Addition of F-Log (Fuji Film) color space
・Improved GV Browser
・Improved User Interface

Grass Valley also announced that their "HDWS Series" and "REXCEED Series" non linear video editing work stations with "EDIUS" built in were chosen for the editing system of Sony Business Solutions' "Media Backbone Reporting Solution." In addition, as shared storage, the EDIUS-ISILON, which was created in collaboration by Grass Valley and Dell EMC, will be implemented. These systems were demonstrated at the Sony booth.
