"Inter BEE 2014" Red Digital Japan RED DRAGON's non-compressed 4K broadcasting work flow debut. Also displaying Vizrt's virtual graphic camera work

Red Digital Japan is holding an exhibition in Inter BEE 2014 from November 19th (Wed.) to 21st (Fri.) in Chiba Makuhari Messe (Booth number: 6201). This year's booth is going at a larger scale, with new products such as the 19.4 million pixel, 16.5 stop, 6K DRAGON sensor-equipped broadcast work flow "EPIC-M RED DRAGON" and "SCARET DRAGON" broadcast modules announced at IBC.
- Non-compressed 4K video which targets "live broadcasts"
By combining "EPIC-M RED DRAGON" with the "4K Broadcast Module" first debuted in Japan, non-compressed 4K live picture output in real time on 4K panels. There will be a broadcast demo of "CMOTION lens control system" and other peripheral equipment. There will also be camera work of "nCam" and Vizrt's "4K Real time Virtual Gaphic". "We want to display a system work flow which can do everything from studio relay to live concerts!"
- High-resolution display touch screen "RED Touch" debut.
Four full-time service staff from the head office in the US give hands-on demonstrations.
At the booth, there will be a hands-on display of cameras with DSMC (digital still/motion camera) convertible OLPF (optic low-pass filter) module, with the first-ever exhibition of 7-inch touch screen "REDTouch." REDTouch has a 1920x1136 pixel, 323 ppi, 1000:1 contrast high-resolution display. The optic-fastened touch screen menu operation and camera parameter adjustment is easy to use. Because the head rotates 180 degrees, it is easy to use in various settings.
- Control-use interface "REDSwichblade-M"
The light-weight interface on EPIC as well as SCARLET camera's dimensions, "REDSwitchblade-M" will also be displayed. All of the menu operations of the 1.7-inch OLED screen and DSMC will be displayed, complete with rotation dial, D-pads, function buttons, and 4 types of setting presets.
The newly announced RED Touch 7-inch LCS and DSMC interchangeable OLPF (optic low-pass filter) module will also be displayed.
Large-size prints of still image cuts will also be demonstrated in astoundingly high resolution.
- EPIC's showcasing example "Shooting films in the age of 4K with a film photography look"
At ASIA CONTENTS FORUM's 4K New Wave Session on the 19th, "Film look in the age of 4K" will present photography director Hideo Yamamoto's Toho work created with RED EPIC cameras on scene.
