Inter BEE 2013 TV: Tomoca Electronics showcasing a variety of optical transmission products including the CopperHead fiber optic camera transceiver which adds optical transmission functionality to ENG cameras
2013.11.14 UP
Tomoca Electronics (booth 5211) is showcasing tactical fiber optic cable assemblies from the US company Belden along with the Telecast series of optical transmission equipment for the broadcast industry by the Canadian company Miranda Technologies, a Belden brand.
Also on display are Tomoca’s own independently developed new products including the TM-44 4ch powered audio monitor, LCT-015 location cart, and TMF-08-R midi fader unit.
The Belden 2XOS2-B96566 (2 fibers) and 4XOS2-B96639 (4 fibers) series of tactical fiber optic cable assemblies each consist of a Belden B96566 (2 fibers) or B96639 (4 fibers), respectively, fitted with terminals in Japan. The cables are available in lengths of 100/200/300m and are provided on appropriately-sized portable reels from the German company Schill. They are suitable for a variety of uses from permanent 4K and 8K setups to broadcasting, indoor and outdoor sports/news recording, other live performances/events, etc.
Tomoca is also showing the Python 3G, TelePort 3G, and TeleThon 3G CWDM optical multiplexing transmission systems in the Telecast series of optical transmission equipment for broadcasters by Miranda Technologies. The Python 3G is capable of inputting SDI signals directly via BNC and transporting them all in a single optical cable. The TelePort 3G is a system that inputs up to 16 optical signals through an ST connector and transports them over a single optical cable. The TeleThon 3G is a hybrid system combining part of the TelePort with the Python 3G. The CopperHead fiber optic camera transceiver is capable of adding optical transceiver functionality to an ENG or other camera system that does not have optical output functionality.
Other products on display include the Cobra triaxial fiber optic camera interface, T-POV robotic camera interface, CommLink fiber optic intercom link system, SHED & HDX hybrid cable elimination devices, and Terrapin & Rattler optical/electrical media converters.
