[Inter BEE 2013 TV] TECHNONET exhibits Sportscoder 4K real-time 3D graphics system with 4K support

TECHNONET (booth number: 5201) is demoing the Sportscoder 4K real-time 3D graphics system with 4K support, together with the VFEX-R , the 64-bit successor to the VFEX-R 3D-capable Sportscoder system for sports broadcasting. Also on display for the first time is TPS, a next-generation, Windows 8.1-compatible, tablet-based teleprompter system that supports handwriting.

■Demoing the Sportscoder 4K real-time 3D graphics system with 4K support
TECHNONET has developed Sportscoder 4K, a real-time transmission system for sports broadcasting that supports Video/Key output in the 4K video format (3,840x2,160 59.94p), and plans to announce the product at InterBEE2013. The Sportscoder 4K system utilizes the ASTRODESIGN GG-167-4K 4K-capable frame memory board, which supports 4K/59.94p real-time video output via four 3G-SDI channels, and is capable of displaying 3D CG animation on 4K/59.94p real-time video.
"We want to highlight the ability to draw 3D CG animation to 4K video both smoothly and in real time," explained Head of Sales Asako Mukasa. The product “is intended for deployment with an operator for events, 4K broadcast proving tests, and other settings,” she said.


■Demoing the VFEX-R , the 64-bit successor to the VFEX-R 3D-capable Sportscoder system for sports broadcasting
TECHNONET is set to announce the VFEX-R as the Windows 7 64-bit-compatible successor to its VFEX-R series, a character generator that supports HDTV 2D/3D graphics and 3D CG animation. In terms of hardware specifications, it supports USB 3.0, and comes equipped with two high-capacity SSDs (one is for video), as well as HD-SDI Video and HD-SDI Key outputs, and one reference signal output. The product is schedule for release around summer of next year.

■Announcing TPS, a next-generation, tablet-based teleprompter system that supports handwriting
TECHNONET will also announce Tablet Prompter System (TPS), a next-generation teleprompter system that combines a Windows 8.1 tablet with software that allows handwritten memos to be added to PDF-format documents using an included digitizer pen. The product provides an easy to understand, intuitive graphical interface based on the "Modern UI" Windows 8.1 user interface. At present, it has been confirmed to run on two tablets: the lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2, and the Microsoft Surface Pro.

With these products, along with the VFEX-ES (the entry-level model of the VFEX), the cloud server-based Android app Road Race Information Monitor, and a demonstration of a live video clip real-time production and delivery service, the company is offering a total solution from video production to distribution.
