Village Island is exhibiting DekTec's new product, the DTU-315 universal multi-standard modulation interface, at its company booth at InterBEE 2014. Featuring a modulated USB3.0 interface, this device can deliver all broadcast bands: terrestrial, satellite, and cable TV. Its maximum modulation bandwidth also allows 4K broadcasts at 70MHz.
Seisen Hirai, Village Island director and sales executive, says “This industry-leading portability is compatible with nearly all of the world’s digital broadcast formats, including 4K broadcasts. It grabbed the attention of InterBEE attendees, and we received many inquiries. It can be used as a test signal generator for various broadcast formats and as a module for independent broadcasting, and it is also ideal for use in demonstrations and as an R&D tool. Many also valued it highly for its compactness and light weight when compared with conventional products.”
At the booth, the company also introduced its own VH-2000 HEVC • HD decoder, and THOMSON, Inc.’s VS7000 HEVC • HD encoder.
