(Inter BEE 2015) Elemental To Introduce Video Processing Solutions for 4K/HDR/HEVC Service Implementation
2015.11.17 UP
Elemental Technologies will present an exhibition at Inter BEE 2015 held at Makuhari Messe from November 18th (Wed) to the 20th (Friday) introducing their video processing solutions for broadcast and mutli-screen systems. This is the company's first exhibition since establishing their Japanese subsidiary. It can be found at booth #3305 in Hall 3.
Elemental provides video processing technology for broadcasting-related business services and video production environments based on video processing systems that create "software-defined video" using generic hardware and proprietary software. One of the primary features of their technology is the ability to support new formats and devices with a shorter development time by being software based compared to using hardware codecs.
Elemental will introduce a variety of applications at their booth using the file conversion server Elemental Server for parallel processing of a plurality of video files including the latest appliance model of Elemental Live, a live encoder capable of processing real-time HEVC in 4K60p. The company will also be showing off Elemental Cloud which can deploy flexible large capacity live and on-demand video processing in the cloud and the workflow of Elemental Delta, an easy to implement video delivery platform with added value through missed broadcasts, nPVR, and dynamic ad insertion services. In addition, Amazon Prime service promotional content processed using the company's technology will be playing on the HDR-compatible Sony 4K Bravia.
As well as playing promotional content processed for Amazon Prime using Elemental's technology on an HDR-compatible 4K Bravia, the company will be demonstrating real time low bitrate 4K60p/HEVC encoding for next generation 4K terrestrial broadcasting through collaboration with the Kansai Telecasting Corporation (Kansai TV). Kansai TV used Elemental's video processing in an experimental live 4K broadcast via the ISDB-T terrestrial digital system of the Osaka International Women's Marathon held in January of this year. Kansai TV plans to make an announcement to report on this broadcasting experiment at the Makuhari Messe International Conference Hall on November 19th.
