[Inter BEE 2016 T] AIST: Victories Demonstrated a Telesession System Utilizing "Dynamic Optic Path Networks," Network Technology with Ultra-low Energy Consumption Transfers
2016.11.18 UP
At Inter BEE 2016, held at Makuhari Messe over 3 days from November 16th (Wed) to 18th (Fri), AIST: Victories demonstrated a "Telesession" system.
This system utilizes "Dynamic Optic Path Networks," network technology that transfers big data, such as ultra-high resolution video, using ultra-low energy consumption that is 3 - 4 digits less than normal. From a far away location, ultra-high resolution video and high-quality sound was shared with ultra-low delay, creating a high realistic sensation, similar to an "anywhere window," in real time.
The range of application is very wide, as implementation for long distance medical and nursing image sharing, music lessons and sessions, teleconferences and telecommuting, prevention of theft and disasters, long distance robot operations, and VR/AR are expected.
