【Inter BEE 2013 TV】 CTCSP, Elemental First General Release of 4K/HEVC Encoding System

US company Elemental Technologies will introduce its 4K/HEVC video processing technology system designed for live and on–demand broadcast services at the CTCSP booth (#8301).

• Elemental Live, a 4Kp30/HEVC live encoder
On view will be the system workflow designed by CTCSP that achieved success during the 2013 Osaka Marathon held on October 27th, which was the first ever trial of live streaming as well as live public viewing of a broadcast in 4K/HEVC.
A 4K source feed from a 4K Sony camera is input into an Elemental Live encoder (prototype), which executes real–time encoding in baseband (four channel 3G-SDI) with the use of a single appliance, feeding the stream to a 4K Toshiba display monitor.

• Elemental Server, a 4Kp60/HEVC file encoder
This unit produces 4Kp60/HEVC quality, as seen in the 4K H.265/HEVC Over FLET'S Transmission Technology presented by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West Corporation (NTT West) at IMC Tokyo 2013 and the NTT Group Collection 2013. In addition, it allows the user to experience HEVC video quality on tablets and other devices through its multiscreen streaming support.
