Compatible with five types of mount, including PL, EF and MICRO Four Thirds: 15mm to 135mm focal length cine lens "Compact Prime 2" series

In addition to traditional products such as the ""Compact Prime"" series, which is a reputable fixed focal length lens, Carl Zeiss exhibited a great number of new products in the series. These new products will be launched in order from next year.


■ Exhibition of the latest lenses to be released next year

The ""CP. 2 Super Speed T1.5"" are new products in the ""Compact Prime"" series. These have lens sizes of 35mm, 50mm and 85mm. The case size has been unified for all lenses and the focus/iris ring position has been made constant. The cost performance has been increased while maintaining the high optical performance and operability common to the series. The lens mount allows selection from PL, EF and F. It is scheduled that sales of these products will commence early next year in Japan.

New compact zoom lenses were also on display. These are the ""CZ.2 28-80mm T2.9"" and ""CZ.2 70-200mm T2.9."" Although these have a compact size, they come with a high optical performance and are capable of being utilized in a wide range of shooting scenes. Both of these products have lens mounts that allow selection from PL, EF, F, E or MFT. The ""CZ.2 28-80mm T2.9"" is scheduled to go on sale from the middle of the next year with the ""CZ.2 70-200mm T2.9"" being released from next February.

In their booth, the firm had camera parts and lenses available for demonstration purposes and so it was actual possible to experience the usability and operability of their devices.
