JVC Kenwood's booth at Inter BEE 2014 centered on 4K cameras. They announced the new GY-HM200 (shipping from late February), the smallest model in their HM series of 4K cameras.
The fast f/1.2 lens features 12x optical zoom (35 mm-format equivalent of 29.5-354 mm). The 24x dynamic zoom makes the most of the high-resolution sensor, enabling telephoto lengths up to 708 mm (35 mm-format equivalent).
Recording and playback at 24p, 25p, or 30p are possible at 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels). Also, 4K shooting in the H.264 codec supports 150 Mbps high-resolution recordings. HD shooting supports high-quality recording at 50 Mbps 4:2:2. The camera supports the QuickTime (MOV) and AVCHD file formats for direct editing in Apple's Final Cut Pro video-editing program.
The highly functional unit features a double-slot recording system also compatible with high-end models, with remote viewing enabled with the USB host, and file transfers over a network.
It also suppots Kenwood's Zixi cloud service for YouStreaming live streaming.
