【Pre InterBEE 2013】Sun Instruments ― Exhibiting optical display port extenders, optical HDMI extenders, and optical 3G SDI extenders capable of extending up to 30 km, all from Korean company Opticis

　At Inter BEE 2013, to be held December 13-15 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Sun Instruments (booth 5113) will exhibit products from Korea's Opticis, which Sun Instruments manages, such as “DPFX-100” (top picture), an optical display port extender; “HDFX-250,” an optical HDMI extender; and “SDIX-100,” an optical 3G SDI extender.

■ Optical extender capable of transmission up to 300 m via two multi-mode fibers on display
　Sun Instruments will exhibit “DPFX-100,” an optical display port extender capable of transmission up to 300 m via two multi-mode fibers, as well as new optical HDMI extenders “HDFX-250, 200, 150,” all from Korea’s Opticis.
　The optical display port extender “DPFX-100” can transmit a screen resolution of WQXGA(2560x1600) at 60 Hz up to 300 m via two multi-mode fibers with LC connector, without scaling or data compression to reduce the amount of data transmitted.
　Additionally, new optical HDMI extender “HDFX-250” supports HDMI 1.3a, and can transmit uncompressed HDMI signal of WUXGA(1920x1200) at 60 Hz or 1080p at 60 Hz up to 300 m via two multi-mode fibers with 50 μm core diameter LC connectors. The “HDFX-200” can transmit up to 300 m via just one LC connector multi-mode fiber, whereas the “HDFX-150” requires four LC connector multi-mode fibers.

■ Extend 3G SDI up to 30 km via one single-mode fiber with ST connector
　Also on display will be the “SDIX-100” optical 3G SDI extender, capable of extending resolutions up to 3G SDI (the 3 Gbps SDI video standard, supporting single link 1080p) via a single-mode fiber with ST connector. The “SDIX-100” optical 3G SDI extender can achieve long distance transmission of SMPTE-424M 3G SDI signal, or SMPTE-292M HD or SMPTE-259M serial digital video signal up to 30 km, via single-mode (recommended) or multi-mode fiber cable. Because it uses cutting-edge digital optical fiber transmission technology, adjustments to the mini 3G SDI extension system are unnecessary, making setup a breeze.

■ 3G SDI／>HDMI converter and 1x6 3G SDI splitter (SDID-16S) also scheduled for exhibit
　The company also plans to exhibit signal converters such as “DDFX-100,” an optical dual link DVI extender; “SDIH-20,” a 3G SDI-HDMI converter; and “HDMS-200,” an HDMI to 3GSDI converter, as well as “SDID-16S,” a 1x6 3G SDI splitter. All products are from Korea's Opticis.
