Inter BEE 2016 TV Kato Electric Industry Exhibiting various antenna trackers

Kato Electric Industry will be exhibiting for 3 days from November 16th (Wed.) to 18th (Fri.) at Inter BEE 2016, held at Makuhari Messe. Exhibits include the 0.9m ϕ helicopter tracker antenna kit, 1.2m ϕ parabolic rotator, and 0.6m ϕ rotator.

The 0.9m ϕ helicopter tracker antenna kit will be on display. While we have only producted rotators in the past, consistent production of the helicopter tracker kit was started thanks to the development of the TRU (transformer rectifier unit) this year. Because the tracker is manufactured as a system, the antenna pattern is separated from both the voltage curve reading and the tracking voltage from the TRU, making active tracking possible. The rotator can be installed on small and large aircraft and can also be integrated into existing systems. GPS data can be received, and automatic control is also enabled.

The 1.2m ϕ parabolic rotator is a sample product (reference exhibit), designed so that the structure of the vertical actuator is mounted in the back, which enables a greater range of antenna rotation in the vertical direction. We intend to introduce this configuration into our products starting next year.

The 0.6m ϕ rotator is the sucessor to the current model. This rotator is meant for use in a dome environment. Losses are reduced due to installation of the receiver cluster in the rear of the antenna. The motor output is approximately 3 times greater than the current turntable, is not prone to influence from mounted devices, has a rotational speed 1.5 times greater than the current model, and can be operated at high airspeeds. We plan to commercialize this product after next year.
