【InterBEE 2013 TV】EMC Isilon To Demo 4K Image Production Big Data Workflow With Isilon Scale-Out NAS, Also Invitation Only Seminar on the 15th
2013.11.13 UP
EMC Japan (booth #7308) will demonstrate a high data volume production workflow for 4K image contents using Isilon Scale-Out NAS from EMC Isilon.
Isilon Scale-out NAS uses disk arrays called "nodes" which contain a CPU and memory. Performance is elevated by adding nodes. Isilon's unique OneFS operating system enables a distributed file system with a unified storage pool for the cluster, a major benefit of which is no-bottleneck parallel processing including data read and write.
The A100 accelerator which will be on dynamic display at the booth during the show can boost aggregate throughput per node up to 1100 MB/second regardless of capacity. In combination with the Scale-Out NAS X400 the A100 enables smooth handling of high volume data .
The A100 also supports high performance application workflow when added to an Isilon cluster storage node. With 256 GB of L1 cache per 1U node (8x comparable product capacity), the A100 can hold a huge recently-accessed dataset in memory, enabling extremely high read performance with low latency. Aggregate throughput is 1100 MB/s.
