[Inter BEE 2018] Mellanox Technologies Japan to Exhibit End-to-End Ethernet Network Solutions Supporting Video-over-IP Networks

Together with Servants International, Mellanox Technologies Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of Mellanox Technologies, will exhibit at the "Inter BEE 2018" International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition to be held at Makuhari Messe from Wednesday, November 14 to Friday, November 16, 2018. At its booth (Hall 7/7208), the company will present a demonstration-based exhibit of solutions including ConnectX-5 Adapter, the LinkX Series, and Mellanox Spectrum Switch, an End-to-End Ethernet solution that is optimal for Video-over-IP networks. In addition, the company is scheduling an interoperability exhibit and seminar on actual equipment in the Interoperability Exhibit Section of INTER BEE IP PAVILION, a special event at InterBEE.

■ Exhibition of Precision Time Protocol (PTP)-Compatible Spectrum Ethernet Switch SN 2000 Series
　Mellanox Technologies Japan offers support for the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) with Ethernet switches that conform to the SMPTE2059-2 specification, and offers features that achieve the packet pacing function specified in ST 2110-21 in network card hardware to offload processing from the CPU.
　At the Inter BEE event, the company will exhibit the Spectrum Ethernet Switch SN2000 series (photo, top), which conforms to the SMPTE2059-2 specification.
　The Ethernet Switch SN2000 Series supports a wide range of port speeds from 1Gb/s and 10Gb/s to 100Gb/s per port, and is equipped with hardware functions demanded in the video field such as zero packet loss in silicon, low latency, and fair bandwidth supply; SMPTE(ST)2206-5 FEC (Forward Error Correction) and functions defined in SMPTE(ST)2202-6; support for SMPTE2059-2-compliant Precision Time protocol (PTP), IGMPv3, PFC (Priority-based Flow Control), and OpenFlow; telemetry functions; Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP, a function that enables the restoration of network switch settings even after replacement of failed network switches just by switching on the power); and other features demanded in the field of IP transmission.

■ Exhibit of ConnectX-5 EN Adapter Card, with up to Two 100Gb/s Ethernet Connection Ports
　With up to 2 ports for 100Gb/s Ethernet connections, the ConnectX-5 EN Adapter Card achieves ST2110-21-compliant packet pacing functions in hardware to perform CPU offload. The company will also perform demonstrations of the LinkX Series optical transceiver module cable.

■ SMPTE ST2022-6 Interoperability Equipment Demonstration and Seminar Scheduled at IP PAVILION
　As a special event at Inter BEE, demonstrations of actual IP equipment for IP live transmission that achieves next generation live video production and streaming, exhibits that explain IP-related products, and relay seminars by companies will be conducted at INTER BEE IP PAVILION.
　Mellanox will conduct an exhibit of actual SMPTE ST2022-6 interoperability equipment using its Spectrum Switch SN2410 Ethernet Switch at the Ineroperability Exhibit Section of the IP PAVILION (Hall 3/3112), and will conduct a seminar on the topic of "Mellanox's Video over IP Solutions to Support Next-Generation 4K and 8K" from 14:30 to 14:50 on Wednesday, November 14 and Thursday, November 15 at the Relay Seminar Venue (Hall 3/3114).
