InterBEE Connected exhibitor ITOCHU Cable Systems is showing tools and solutions essential to cable TV operator infrastructure for providing OTT services. These can be assembled into advanced configurations to launch comprehensive services under the name "Personal TV." Cable operators can provide VOD services immediately when they adopt these tools and solutions. As they manage video content and deliver it to users, they can deliver not only to STB but to smart devices as well. As the TV industry reinvents itself, ITOCHU will use its cable TV industry experience and knowledge to provide solutions that can go with the flow of new business.
■ OTT to make cable TV an indispensable element
ITOCHU Cable Systems is a group company of ITOCHU Corporation, and one of its important business sectors is with  new broadcast and communications industries. In particular, the company has supported the development of cable TV operators by providing services and solutions. The ITOCHU InterBEE booth shows the company’s latest offerings that can be assembled to provide comprehensive services under the name "Personal TV." These services and systems allow cable operators to start up VOD services immediately. As they manage video content and deliver it to users, they can deliver not only to STB but to smart devices as well.
Among these products, the mpx video content management system is a breakthrough product that enables delivery of skillfully combined broadcast and VOD. Individual cable operators can operate it according to their requirements on the state-of-the-art platform newly developed by The Platform, Inc., a subsidiary of American cable giant Comcast.
