In its Japanese partners' booths, US company Abekas has announced to the public its latest 8 channel-specification model Mira production server, that supports 3G and universal formats.

This time, as well as being exhibited amongst Sony/Sony Business Solutions' image creation device systems in room 201 of the International Conference Hall, in combination with a 3D virtual studio system, it was also exhibited in Hoei's exhibit booth as a 3D solutions system.

The 8 channel-specification Mira has the same 3RU rack size as the existing 4 channel input/output model, and as well as supporting 3G, can record up to 80 hours of HD format at 100 Mb/s. The system disk is a solid state drive (SSD), providing even higher performance and fault-tolerance.
