Inter BEE 2010: Media Global Links Exhibits MD8000 Multimedia IP Transmitter.

The multimedia IP transmission device MD8000 exhibited by Media Global Links (booth 7109) is capable of processing HD-SDI and MPEG TS into IP packets and transmitting them onto the Internet and IP networks.

Their K2, which was on display as a reference, features a compact 2U size, and is capable of switching HD-SDI video signals of 300 sources.

MARGARITA allows direct storage of video signals transmitted as IP packets from MD8000. Since it records in MXF format, it is possible to begin editing immediately. According to the manufacturer, there are plans to enable video content that is stored on MARGARITA to be streamed as-is for playback.
