Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA; Representative Director/Chairman Kazuhiro Tsuga, Chairperson of the Board, Panasonic Holdings Corporation) announced that the winners of each category for the ‘INTER BEE AWARD 2024,’ which targets technologies, products, services, software, and content showcased at ‘Inter BEE 2024’ that opened today, have been announced.
The “INTER BEE AWARD” will be presented on the occasion of the 60th Inter BEE. This award aims to contribute to the revitalization and future development of the media and entertainment industry, as well as the advancement of technology and the diversity of creative activities in this field. The award winners were selected through a rigorous evaluation process by the INTER BEE AWARD 2024 Judging Committee, consisting of experts from the field. Over the past 60 years, technology has changed dramatically. Now, we are at a crucial stage where it’s essential to determine how to harness these advancements effectively. In this era of IP-driven development, I believe the most important outcome of technological progress is the creation of high-quality content. Among this year’s award recipients, for example, we see proactive efforts from local broadcasters as well as the use of new technologies like MR and AR that are transforming how content is presented across various media, not limited solely to broadcasting. The INTER BEE AWARD highlights how media, in a broad sense, is evolving.

INTER BEE AWARD 2024 is an award program that honors outstanding technologies, products, services, software, and content showcased at Inter BEE 2024. Exhibitors submit their entries in advance, and the ‘INTER BEE AWARD 2024 Judging Committee’ evaluates and selects the most exceptional submissions based on criteria such as ‘Innovation, Originality, and Technical Excellence,’ ‘Marketability and Economic Viability,’ and ‘Problem-solving Ability, Appeal, and Other Factors.

The award recognizes products, technologies, services, software, and applications related to video production, including those used in content creation and broadcasting. It also includes systems incorporating these elements, as well as content creation and expression technologies. The award honors those that are highly evaluated for their contribution to the revitalization and advancement of the media and entertainment industry.
■Content Production / Broadcasting & Media (Total Solution)
The award recognizes products related to video and video streaming technologies, services, software, and applications, as well as solutions and systems that incorporate them. It covers a wide range of applications, including advertising, marketing, and other industries utilizing video content, across diverse media fields such as broadcast media and online media. The award honors those highly evaluated for their contribution to the revitalization and advancement of various industry sectors
■Entertainment / Lighting / Visual Expression
The award recognizes products related to video equipment, lighting devices, and other expression devices, technologies, systems, services, software, and applications used in content creation and expression in live entertainment, various facilities, metaverse, XR spaces, and other immersive environments. It covers a wide range of content creation and expression technologies and honors highly evaluated for their contribution to the revitalization and advancement of the media and entertainment industry.
